Port Authority Police Officer Exam
The mission of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey Police Department (PAPD) is to provide protective services to the users of New York/New Jersey airports, seaports, bridges, tunnels, bus terminal, train service, and the World Trade Center.
To ensure that Police Officer applicants possess the required professional abilities, entry-level applicants must pass a written test designed specifically for the Port Authority. It is slightly different from the NYPD exam and the NYS Civil Service exam.
Questions on the Port Authority Police Officer Exam
The Port Authority Police Officer Written Examination is computer-based and requires up to 2 hours and 25 minutes to complete. The exam will begin with a 25-minute observation/memorization period, where test-takers study some photographs. You will then have 2 hours to answer the 70 questions that make up the examination.
