What is the Next Generation Law Enforcement Exam?

The Next Generation Law Enforcement Exam (NGLE) is an entry-level police exam that combines a measure of your Reading and Writing skills with Situational Judgment Tests (SJT) that measure traits like integrity, interpersonal skills, emotional stability, etc.
The exam was originally developed by CWH Research but now is owned and distributed by I/O Solutions.
Job applicants should be aware that there were two versions of the original CWH exam. The legacy version is CWH-SSLE, “ Selection Solutions for Law Enforcement.” It included math. The newer version is the CWH-NGLE (Next Generation Law Enforcement Exam) and does NOT include math.

How Long is the NGLE?
Test time for the NGLE is 3 hours and 15 minutes plus 15 minutes for instructions.
Is the NGLE Hard?
The NGLE includes many non-cognitive questions that measure integrity, judgment, interpersonal skills and work attitudes. Most job applicants have never experienced this type of assessment and there are effective and ineffective ways to answer these questions.
