The Police Written Test used in Georgia is called the GA POST which will be either the ASSET or COMPASS test by the commercial vendor, ACT. The difference between the two exams is that the ASSET is a pencil and paper exam, whereas the COMPASS is a computer-based exam.

Applicants must either pass the GA POST or one of several other standardized tests (ACCUPLACER, SAT, CPE.) All of these exams will test an applicant's Reading skills, Writing abilities and basic Math skills. An excellent prep course that covers all of these tests is PoliceExam911-Basic.
